Real Estate Law — FAQ
Do I need a real estate lawyer if I'm using a realtor?
Your realtor works for the sale. A lawyer works for you. We review the contract your realtor negotiated, catch title problems, and make sure the closing actually protects your interests. Many Woodlands buyers use both.
How long does a real estate closing take?
Most closings happen 30 to 45 days after you go under contract. We start the title search and contract review right away so nothing slows you down. If there's a title issue, we know about it early.
What happens if the title search finds a problem?
We figure out what it is and fix it before closing. Sometimes it's old liens that need to be cleared. Sometimes it's a boundary issue. We handle it so you don't have to.
