Contract Review
We examine agreements before you sign, identifying risks and negotiating terms that protect your interests.
Contract review means we go through what you're about to sign, line by line, and tell you what it actually means. Most people in The Woodlands sign contracts without really understanding the terms. We catch the problems, explain your exposure, and flag where you have room to negotiate before you're locked in.
We handle everything from vendor agreements and service contracts to employment deals and purchase agreements. We know Texas law and local business practices, so we spot issues that a generic template review would miss. The work takes time because it has to. We don't rush through this.
You get a clear written summary of what each section means, what risks you're taking on, and what we'd recommend changing. We'll also tell you which parts are actually negotiable and which ones the other side probably won't budge on. Then you make the decision with real information.
What's included: Complete line-by-line review of your contract; Written summary of key terms and obligations; Identification of risks and problem clauses; Recommendations for changes or negotiation points; Plain-English explanation of what you're agreeing to.
Contract Review — FAQ
How long does contract review take?
It depends on the length and complexity of the contract. A straightforward vendor agreement might take a few days. A longer commercial lease or employment contract usually takes a week or two. We'll give you a timeline when you send it over.
Can you negotiate changes with the other party?
We can advise you on what to ask for and why. If you want us to reach out to the other side's lawyer, that's a separate negotiation engagement. We always start with review and let you decide what happens next.
What if I'm in a rush to sign something?
Tell us upfront. We'll prioritize it, but we won't cut corners on the actual review. A rushed review that misses a problem isn't worth anyone's time.
